I am a fitness coach based in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire. During over 10 years of coaching I have educated and motivated hundreds of men and women to feel healthy, fit, strong and confident whilst smashing their goals.

I wasn’t always fit and strong and I certainly wasn’t as confident as I am now. Born and raised in England, I originally got into sports when I was 10. I was a really shy child but I found playing sport was something I excelled at and helped me build some confidence. 


As an adult I worked in recruitment and Human Resources sitting behind a desk all day, but this lifestyle left me feeling stiff, tense and tired. Finally I made the decision to follow my passion and became a personal trainer.

I feel lucky to be able to help people by doing something I love. I am inspired and rewarded everyday by the people I have the opportunity to coach and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!



What I’ve found is that movement just makes people feel better. People who love to movement are, generally, pretty happy people.

I find people who are trying to change their lifestyle, are either very apprehensive about starting to exercise or are put off by the image of what being fit and strong is on social media. I think that’s such a shame because health and fitness gives you the ability, energy, focus and motivation to get out there and make the most of your life.

So many of my clients have come to me because they have become upset and frustrated at not seeing results from their own health and fitness routines. The value of fitness coaching is that for most people, being kept accountable, being given challenging yet achievable exercises and goals, and receiving effective nutrition and lifestyle guidance is the difference between success and failure.

We all have busy lives, but scheduling time in your diary with a coach means you have a regular commitment to getting your exercise done.



I know how to motivate and I’m all about making fitness fun, interesting and above all efficient so you reach your goals. I want to draw people in and have them start enjoying exercise and all the benefits that come with it. No fluffy exercises, just movements that are going to build strength, make you fitter and keep you safe from injury.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an absolute beginner or you’ve been working out for years. I can help you reach your goals. You will feel genuine and sincere care and part of a larger community of people who are also valuing their health.

Sonja has been training me for the last 2 months. Once or twice a week depending on my ability. My goal was/is to get fitter for the winter surf season and in 2 months she has given me a focus to my daily surfs that I never thought I'd achieve so quickly. I really enjoy our workouts and love the banter too.

I cannot recommend Sonja enough, you are not just a number when training with her. She is so dedicated to all of her clients and she makes sure you get the most out of your sessions. Training with Sonja has made me stronger and fitter and she really focuses on individual needs. Her new work space is a perfect fit for her and her clients. After having a break from training due to injury I am super excited to be back training with her, it is one of my favourite things to do.
