INGREDIENTS
2 cups of mixed nuts. I used walnuts and almonds but you can use whichever you prefer. You can also add in some seeds if you like.
1/2 cup of tahini (sesame paste - can be bought from any supermarket of health food store)
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup raw cacao powder (any health food store and some supermarkets)
1/2 cup desiccated coconut (plus extra food for rolling the finished balls in)
METHOD
Add nuts and seeds together in a food processor and pulse several times until chopped to roughly the same size pieces.
Add remaining ingredients and blend until the mixture resembles a dough. If the mixture is sticky, add more coconut. If the mixture is too dry, add more tahini.
Roll 1 tablespoon of mixture into a ball, then roll in desiccated coconut to coat.
Repeat with remaining mixture.
Store in the fridge or the freezer and enjoy as a treat!
